Meet the 2025 Ford Maverick: Compact Utility Redefined
Engine Performance
This edition of the Maverick offers both a 2.0-liter gas engine and a 2.5-liter hybrid engine among its five trim levels. The hybrid engine comes with the XL, XLT, and Lariat trims and delivers up to 42 MPG while generating 191 horsepower. The gas engine comes standard with both the rugged Lobo and Tremor trims and churns out 238 horsepower while pairing with a 7-speed Quick Shift transmission in Lobo models and an 8-speed automatic transmission in Tremor models.
Versatility and Towing
Many different powertrains are offered for this pickup, depending on the trim level, with front-wheel drive coming standard with both the XL and XLT trims, while all-wheel drive comes with Lariat models. The Lobo and Tremor trims both have advanced four-wheel drive for even more versatility when off-roading, and, depending on the trim level, towing maxes out at 4,000 pounds with the available 4K Trailer Tow Package.
Comfort and Convenience
Inside, there’s seating for up to five, a standard rear folding bench seat, power windows, power door locks, and front bucket seats in every model that offer available heating in select trims. While lower trims have air conditioning, upper trims have dual-zone climate control, and the standard rear under-seat storage bins are perfect for stowing away smaller cargo. Outside, the
FLEXBED cargo-organizing system comes standard, while bed lighting, a bed extender, and many other features for working are available.
Sophisticated Technology
Also inside the cabin are plenty of innovative technology features, such as the standard SYNC 4 infotainment system with its voice-activated controls and 13.2-inch touchscreen display. Along with this comes a full-color instrument cluster, multiple USB ports and 12-volt outlets for charging, steering-wheel-mounted audio controls, and the FordPass Connect Wi-Fi hotspot, which can be connected to when opting for an internet data plan. There’s also an available premium B&O audio system with eight speakers and HD Radio.
Adaptive Driver Assistance
Also offering high-tech driver-assist features for different scenarios, this pickup has Pre-Collision Assist, the Tire Pressure Monitoring System, the Rear View Camera, and Auto LED High Beams. Other features, such as BLIS (Blind Spot Information System) with Cross-Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, and Lane-Keeping Aid are available, while select upper trims come standard with many of these systems.
