Suntrup Lifetime Powertrain Warranty Program

Suntrup Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program

Ford F-150 Raptor

At Suntrup, we are committed to providing you with an exceptional ownership experience. The Suntrup Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program is designed to give you unparalleled peace of mind and long-term value for your vehicle. This program is not a warranty or a service contract, but rather a customer loyalty program that covers critical components of your vehicle's powertrain for as long as you own it, helping to protect you from unexpected and costly repairs.

How the Program Works:

Your participation in the Customer Loyalty Program is voluntary and provided at no cost to you. To maintain your eligibility, you must have your vehicle's maintenance services performed at a Suntrup repair facility in accordance with the specified maintenance requirements. If you adhere to these requirements, we will cover the cost of repair for any covered powertrain part that experiences a mechanical or electrical breakdown. A deductible amount, as shown on your Loyalty Program Certificate, will apply to any covered repair.

Important Program Details:

  • Waiting Period: Coverage for breakdowns begins after ninety (90) days and three thousand (3,000) miles from your vehicle's purchase date.
  • Maintenance Requirements: You must follow the specified oil and filter change intervals (factory recommended or as otherwise indicated on your certificate) and ensure all maintenance services are performed at a Suntrup repair facility. For Electric and Hybrid (Electric Motor) Vehicles, annual maintenance services are required. You are responsible for retaining copies of all repair orders.
  • Registration Requirement: You must register and log in to Lifetime Vehicle Registration to verify ownership and maintenance compliance within 180 days of the five-year anniversary of your vehicle's purchase date, and every five years thereafter.
  • Exclusions: The program does not cover damage resulting from collision, abuse, misuse, negligence, lack of adequate maintenance, or if the repair is covered by another warranty or policy. Normal wear and tear is also excluded. Please refer to your Loyalty Program Certificate for a complete list of exclusions.
  • Commercial Use: Vehicles used for commercial purposes (with exceptions for ridesharing like Uber and Lyft) are generally excluded from coverage.

What is the Suntrup Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program?

The Suntrup Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program is a customer loyalty program provided to you at no cost when you purchase a qualifying vehicle from Suntrup. It covers specific powertrain components for mechanical or electrical breakdown for as long as you own the vehicle, provided you adhere to the program's maintenance requirements exclusively at Suntrup. It is not a warranty or a service contract.

Is there a deductible for repairs under this program?

Yes, payment for a covered repair is subject to your payment of the deductible amount shown in Section 3 of your Loyalty Program Certificate.

How do I maintain my eligibility for the Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program?

To maintain eligibility, you must have your vehicle's maintenance services performed at a Suntrup repair facility in accordance with the specified service intervals. This includes regular oil and filter changes (within 1,000 miles of the designated interval or at least every 12 months for gas/diesel/hybrid gas vehicles). For Electric and Hybrid (Electric Motor) vehicles, annual maintenance services performed at Suntrup are required within each 12-month period from the purchase date. You must keep copies of all repair orders as proof of maintenance.

Are there any mileage or time limitations before I can make a claim?

Yes, you are not eligible to make a claim until ninety (90) days and three thousand (3,000) miles have elapsed from the odometer reading on your vehicle's purchase date. Breakdowns occurring within this initial period are not covered.

Can I get my vehicle serviced at another repair facility and still be covered?

No, to maintain eligibility under the Customer Loyalty Program, you are required to have your vehicle's maintenance services performed exclusively at a Suntrup repair facility.

Is the Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program transferable if I sell my vehicle?

No, the certificate applies only to you and the vehicle described in Section 3 of your certificate. It cannot be transferred to any other person, including any subsequent owners of the vehicle.

What happens if I don't follow the maintenance schedule?

If you fail to maintain your vehicle as described in Sections 6 and/or 7 of your certificate, the certificate shall become void, and your vehicle will no longer be eligible for repairs under the program. Failure to provide required repair orders may also result in denial of a claim and void the certificate.

What are some common exclusions from the Lifetime Powertrain Loyalty Program?

The program does NOT provide coverage for defects or repair problems resulting from collision, abuse, misuse, negligence, or lack of adequate maintenance after purchase. It also excludes repairs covered by other warranties or service contracts, damage caused by non-covered parts, or damage from non-OEM approved parts installed after purchase. Normal wear and tear, fluid loss not from a covered part failure, and vehicles used for certain commercial purposes (excluding ridesharing like Uber/Lyft) are also excluded. Please refer to Section 11 of your certificate for a complete list of exclusions.

Is there a registration requirement beyond just maintaining my vehicle?

Yes, in addition to maintenance, you must register and log in to verify ownership and maintenance compliance within 180 days following the five-year anniversary of your vehicle purchase date, and every five years thereafter.
